Get The Most Out Of Your Micro-Needling With Growth Factors

Sunspots, acne scars, and many other skin imperfections can’t be removed with your average facial treatment. Micro-Needling using growth factors is the latest craze in the beauty industry and is extremely effective at reducing hyperpigmentation and tightening the skin. Many patients see excellent results with Micro-Needling alone. However, when you combine it with growth factors such as platelet-rich plasma therapy, you boost the rate and quality of results.

What is Micro-Needling?

This collagen induction therapy uses an electronic device that creates tiny channels in the top layer of your skin. This process makes your skin react as though it’s being damaged and trigger the production of new collagen and other healthy cells. Micro-Needling is performed to treat and improve the appearance of a variety of skin blemishes.

What Is PRP Therapy?

Platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) combined with Micro-Needling is one of the most effective methods of rejuvenating the skin. Your cosmetic surgeon or skin care technician will take small amounts of plasma from your blood and place it in a centrifuge that spins at high speeds. This process will separate the platelets which can then be administered into the face. The platelets are more concentrated than untreated blood, accelerating the healing process.

Benefits Of Micro-Needling Combined With PRP

When Micro-Needling is combined with PRP therapy, the effects are more powerful. The tiny channels made during this process allow the PRP to penetrate deeper into the skin. Growth factors are produced naturally underneath the skin. As we age, the production slows down drastically, and we lose vital collagen which results in skin discoloration, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity. Platelet-rich plasma contains many proteins and chemicals to help rejuvenate and repair the skin. These growth factors are in control of creating cellular growth and maintaining healthy skin function and structure. They aid in regenerating healthy tissue, repairing wounds, and forming new collagen. Some of the benefits of Micro-Needling with PRP therapy include:

  • It repairs damaged skin and significantly improves the appearance of sun spots, acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and melasma.
  • It’s a non-invasive procedure that doesn’t require surgery or the use of lasers.
  • There is little to no recovery time.
  • The procedure is painless as it only affects the top layer of your skin.

  • Getting back into the office after a long vacation actually feels good.  While it’s awesome to be free of responsibilities, I love being back in my practice, seeing my lovely patients and being a productive member of my small community.  Being part of the community has been vital to my success and mental well-being.  Being voted “Best Doctor” in town 2 years in a row🤯, participating in #smallbusinesssaturday and volunteering with the @sanjuanchamber has been beyond wonderful. 🚨Don’t forget to vote for 2019 “Best of San Juan” (polls close Dec. 6th)! Swipe to see my favs in town I'm voting for 💕 Link in bio ✔️ (you don't need to live in SJC to vote) VOTE FOR US FOR BEST HEALTHCARE PROVIDER!! .

  • No longer a Paris virgin! 🤣🇫🇷🗼🥐🐌 Wish I could have more time in this enchanted city. My only real complaint... everyone (and I mean errryone) smokes🚬. For a country who covets beautiful skin, I'm utterly confused. Even if we ignore the other more serious risks... Smoking, even the occasional cigarette, decreases blood flow & oxygenation to the skin leading to impaired wound healing, dull skin, damaged collagen and smoker's lines 😖😱
Quite the opposite of Tres Chic 💔🚭
Thank you @jessicagreyourisman
